This no-cost half-day forum brings together state, regional, and local agencies to help prepare small businesses before, during, and after a disaster strikes. Join the Boulder SBDC, Small Business Administration, Boulder County Emergency Management, Xcel Energy, and other state and federal agencies for trainings and a review of the new Colorado SBDC Business Recovery and Resiliency Guide. Breakfast is provided.
The agenda includes topics such as:
  • An overview of SBA Disaster Assistance Loans, eligibility criteria, timelines, and how to apply for federal funding post-disaster
  • How Xcel communicates with the public during an event, prioritizes power restoration, and collaborates to ensure public safety
  • Alternative lending options for businesses recovering from disaster, including flexible underwriting and technical assistance
  • How to prepare digital infrastructure
  • Local hazard identification, business-specific preparedness actions, and how businesses can partner with local OEM to stay informed and ready
